COOK ISLANDS LANGUAGE WEEK

 Learning about 15 Islands of the COOK ISLANDS

Aroha 1 colouring flowers to make headband for Cook Islands Week... 
We learnt about flowers and how it needs to be bright colours such as; Orange, Purple, Red, Yellow

We also integrated our PRIDE values
How we need to take care of each others feelings

Taking turn if you and your buddy wants to use the same colour

FINAL PRODUCT
We wear our headband proudly on Friday to the Cook Islands assembly. We were very happy with out headband. We also got to take this home and share our Cook Islands learning with our Whanau.

 Maths Time!

Kua tae te wā - It's time
School will be closed on 15 August 2018 as all teachers alongside our principal will be going on strike. 

We are campaigning for; 
-More teachers 
-More resources
-A pay jolt to salaries for teachers to address the shortage of teachers - So that your Tamariki (children) will have a teacher in the future. 

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT WHANAU
-By letting the teachers know you support them and join in campaign activities at Rowandale school and other local schools.
