Salote's Birthday Bash

Aroha 1 enjoying the yummy birthday cake

Fine Motor Skill- Aroha 1 solving puzzles using fine motor skills... Aroha 1 also learned about sharing is caring as we gave some of our blocks and puzzles to our babies class Aroha 15.

Duffy Theatre
Show called: Duffy and the Cloak Bay Bully
Aroha 1 really enjoyed the show and learned about looking after each other also that we need to read lots of books to be smart.
This year we are hanging out with Duffy at school, we meet Duffy in the cloak bay where he is dealing with some pre-match nerves. He has made it into the school soccer (football) team and the butterflies in his stomach feel as though they may be a little more than nerves, lucky Duffy has a good book to keep him company in the wharepaku! But something is wrong, Duffy meets a young girl named Melanie who is having nightmares because she keeps watching scary movies and she is also being bullied at school. Duffy vows to help Melanie and through the power of reading, he shows both Melanie and her bully that they have a lot in common, they like the same stories and have the same struggles!

To: The Parents/Whanau

I just wanted to say a huge huge THANK YOU to all the dads, papa, brothers, uncles, mums, that came on Friday... The kids were so happy and excited to have you around. Also, the food was enough to feed two other classes this is only because of your love towards Aroha 1 Tamariki (students) that made this happen so thank you. All the mums helping with kai (food) thank you. Our awesome cool and loving dads learning how to use snapchat with kids was a success. Every teacher has a dream of having students parents coming together as one huge family. For me, this dream came true on Friday with all your input. Your actions, dedication, and commitment towards your child and me are not unseen. I truly and with all my heart appreciate it and thank you is not a word big enough to show how greatful I am to you. Kind Regards Miss Nisha
